Private ECG, ECHO, and Cardiac MRI –

Private cardiac diagnostic tests such as ECG, ECHO, and Cardiac MRI provide detailed insights into heart health, helping detect and monitor a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Accessing these tests privately ensures faster appointments, minimal waiting times, and quick, expert-reviewed results—often within 24 to 72 hours.

Electrocardiogram (ECG)
An ECG is a quick, painless test that records the electrical activity of the heart. It helps identify arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats), signs of a previous heart attack, or issues with the heart’s electrical conduction system. Electrodes are placed on the chest, arms, and legs, and the test takes just 5–10 minutes.

Echocardiogram (ECHO)
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound scan of the heart, showing real-time images of heart structure and function. It assesses heart muscle movement, valve function, and blood flow. ECHO is essential for diagnosing heart failure, valve disease, and cardiomyopathy. The test takes about 30–45 minutes and is non-invasive.

Cardiac MRI
Cardiac MRI provides the most detailed images of the heart, using magnetic fields and radio waves to assess heart anatomy, tissue damage, and blood flow. It is especially useful for complex heart conditions, myocarditis, congenital heart disease, or evaluating the effects of a heart attack. The scan takes 30–60 minutes and may require contrast dye.

Private cardiac tests offer peace of mind, especially for those with symptoms like chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, or a family history of heart disease. Many clinics accept self-referrals, and results are interpreted by cardiology specialists. Early detection through these tests enables timely treatment and better long-term heart health management.

A private 24-hour or 48-hour ECG (Holter monitor)

is a non-invasive test that continuously records your heart’s electrical activity over one or two days. It helps detect irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias), palpitations, dizziness, or unexplained chest discomfort that may not appear during a short ECG. Electrodes are attached to your chest and connected to a portable monitor worn under clothing. Private clinics offer quick access, with results typically available within a few days.. No referral is usually needed. This test offers valuable insights for accurate diagnosis and timely cardiac treatment.

Cardiac MRI

Cardiac MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive imaging service that provides detailed pictures of the heart’s structure and function. It uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create high-resolution, 3D images without the use of ionizing radiation, making it a safe and accurate tool for diagnosing a wide range of heart conditions.

This advanced service is often used to evaluate:

  • Heart anatomy and function

  • Cardiomyopathies (e.g. hypertrophic or dilated)

  • Congenital heart disease

  • Myocardial viability after a heart attack

  • Inflammation (e.g. myocarditis or pericarditis)

  • Cardiac masses or tumors

  • Blood flow and perfusion

During the procedure, the patient lies on a table that slides into the MRI scanner. Electrodes are placed on the chest to monitor the heartbeat (ECG-gating), ensuring images are taken at precise times in the cardiac cycle. A contrast agent (usually gadolinium) may be injected through a vein to enhance image quality and assess blood flow or scar tissue.

The scan typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of the study. Patients are advised to remain still and may be asked to hold their breath briefly to reduce motion during image capture.

After the scan, a cardiac radiologist or cardiologist interprets the results, evaluating heart size, wall thickness, function, and tissue characteristics. The detailed report is sent to the referring physician for diagnosis and treatment planning.

The Cardiac MRI service is especially valuable when other tests (like echocardiograms or CT scans) are inconclusive. It offers unmatched tissue characterization, functional assessment, and diagnostic clarity, helping guide clinical decisions with precision and confidence. As a result, cardiac MRI plays a key role in modern cardiovascular care.
